Warranty Details

Warranty on ESCAPE and CL Range of generators and additional batteries, is a pro-rata warranty. 

Explanation of pro-rata warranty:

If product fails prior to the end of its warranty period, it will be replaced or repaired but only for the equivalent cost of the product, depending on the products age at the time of failure.

For example: A three-year pro-rata warranty means there is a 3-year (36 months) repair or replacement warranty period. As the total period of cover is 36 months, a value per month is calculated by dividing the initial purchase price by 36. The value per month is multiplied by the number of months remaining in the warranty period to determine the available store credit available for repair or replacement.

Therefore, with a purchase price of $3000, warranty of 3 years (36 months) and a reported failure or issue 2 years (24 months) after purchase, the store credit or refund is calculated as below:

$3000 divided by 36 months = $83-33 per month. The available store credit or refund is $999-96. ($83-33 x 12 months).

Please note that the same calculation is used for products with a 5-year pro-rata (60 month) warranty.

WARRANTY IS VOID if it is found, after inspection and diagnosis of issue or failure, by Mobile Power Solutions technicians, that the product:

a) has been used in anyway other than manufactured for or advised by Mobile Power Solutions,

b) has been tampered with,

c) has been altered in any way not authorised by Mobile Power Solutions,

d) has been stored/used in rain/snow/excessive moisture or excessive dusty conditions,

e) has been stored/left where there is any risk of it to come in contact with vermin, insects, bugs etc, 

f) has been stored/not used for longer than 3 months without charging and discharging of product as per User Guide that is supplied with every purchase.

Warranty commences on the date the customer receives the product.

 

Returns and Refunds.

Returns/refunds are on each individual order basis. To receive a refund or return a product, the product needs to be faulty/unsafe/not durable or not do what it is manufactured to do - as explained or advertised to do; and needs to have been used/stored/transported correctly as per manual/instructions. A claim/request for return or refund needs to be within 2 weeks of receiving product. Not using the product does not alter this length of time.

We do not offer a refund/return if a customer

a) has a change of mind;

b) has a change of circumstances;

c) decides they no longer like the product;

d) decides they no longer have a use for a product or

e) finds a similar product cheaper elsewhere.

(It is noted that ESCAPE Power Stations, associated products and accessories are exclusive to Mobile Power Solutions and not available for purchase elsewhere in Australia). 

Customers are always advised if there is a wait time to receive a product they are interested in or ordered. They have to accept and agree to this wait time before their order is processed and commenced. They are always advised of any other changes/delays to expected completion date. A refund maybe considered but not guaranteed, if a customer no longer wants to wait for the product to be completed.

A minimum deposit of 50% of total invoice amount, unless otherwise arranged, is required to confirm each order and commence manufacturing. Payment of the outstanding balance is required prior to order being freighted to customer.
